Grant Motor Car Company was an automobile manufacturer based in Cleveland, Ohio, that operated briefly from 1912 to 1913. The company emerged as a subsidiary of the Grant-Lees Machine Company and initially produced a vehicle known as the Elmer Six.
The Elmer Six featured a 50-horsepower six-cylinder engine, which was a notable specification for its time. Although the vehicle shared its mechanical foundation with the Elmer, Grant Motor Car Company made several modifications to its styling to differentiate it from its predecessor.
Despite its technical attributes, the company struggled to establish a strong market presence, and its promotional efforts were characterized by a lackluster slogan, "The Pioneer Semi-Assembled Car." Ultimately, the Grant Motor Car Company ceased operations after a short period, leaving behind a limited legacy in the early automotive industry.
