Gove Motor Car Company was established in 1921 in Detroit, Michigan. The company operated in a somewhat obscure manner, with its production primarily focused on prototype vehicles. Although it claimed to have its headquarters in Pocatello, Idaho, the actual manufacturing took place in Detroit, or possibly Brighton, Michigan.

The company developed a prototype tourer that featured a 45-horsepower Falls 6-cylinder engine. This model was intended to be sold at a price of $2,150. In addition to passenger vehicles, Gove Motor Car Company also planned to produce a 1½-ton truck, although it is unclear if any of these vehicles were ever mass-produced or brought to market. The legacy of Gove Motor Car Company remains limited, primarily due to its brief existence and the lack of widespread production.
