Gordon was an American automobile manufacturer founded by H. Gordon Hansen in San Lorenzo, California. The company operated from 1945 to 1947, during which it produced a unique vehicle known as the Gordon Diamond.
The Gordon Diamond featured an unconventional wheel arrangement, with wheels positioned in a diamond pattern. This design included one wheel at the front, two on each side, and one at the rear, which contributed to a notably tight turning radius. The vehicle utilized a Ford V8 truck engine, providing it with sufficient power for its innovative design. The steering mechanism involved both the front and rear wheels, enhancing maneuverability.
Despite its distinctive engineering, the Gordon Diamond had a brief production run and is remembered for its innovative approach to vehicle design during the post-World War II era.
