Gatsby Coachworks was an American manufacturer of neoclassic cars based in San Jose, California, operating from approximately 1978 until 1998. The company specialized in creating vehicles that combined classic styling with modern engineering, primarily using Ford chassis as their foundation.

The flagship model, known as the Gatsby, featured a design reminiscent of classic cars, incorporating an MG Midget body with a long bonnet and running boards. Initially produced with steel bodies, Gatsby transitioned to offering fiberglass versions in 1983. The company provided fully assembled vehicles that came with a warranty, as well as options for customers to purchase kits for self-assembly.

In addition to the Gatsby, Gatsby Coachworks produced the Griffin, a neoclassic kit car that was previously referred to as the Sceptre. The Griffin boasted a more rakish design and utilized the MG cockpit area and windshield, also mounted on a Ford chassis. Unlike the Gatsby, all Griffins were constructed with fiberglass bodies.

In 1998, Gatsby Coachworks was sold to JPR Cars Ltd, which was located in Topping, Virginia, marking the end of the brand's independent operations.
