Driggs Ordnance & Manufacturing Company was an American automobile manufacturer based in New Haven, Connecticut, with offices in New York City. The company operated from 1921 to 1923 and aimed to produce a carefully engineered small car that would be sold at an attractive price point.
The Driggs featured a four-cylinder L-head engine of its own design and had a wheelbase of 104 inches (2640 mm). It was offered in both open and closed models, with the touring car priced at $1,275. Despite extensive advertising that promoted the vehicle as being "Built With the Precision of Ordnance," the car did not achieve the anticipated market appeal.
Production of the Driggs was limited, with estimates suggesting that fewer than 150 units were completed, primarily consisting of touring cars. Due to the lack of demand, the company decided to withdraw from the passenger car market and shifted its focus toward the taxicab sector. Driggs continued its operations in this new direction until 1925.
