Dodgeson Motors was established in 1926 in Detroit, Michigan, by John Duval Dodge, the son of John F. Dodge, a co-founder of the Dodge Brothers Motor Car Company. The brand aimed to innovate within the automotive industry, particularly through the development of its unique engine design.
The Dodgeson featured a straight-8 rotary valve engine, engineered by C.E. Wyrick. This engine had a displacement of 3.2 liters, with a bore and stroke of 63 x 127 mm, producing 72 brake horsepower at 3,000 rpm. The vehicle's design included a four-point suspension system, which supported the engine between channel sections of side rails using rubber shock absorbers.
Despite the innovative engineering, the Dodgeson did not progress beyond the prototype stage. Although a few chassis were reportedly completed, it is uncertain whether any coachwork was ever developed, leading to the brand's eventual discontinuation.
