Darling Motors Company was established in 1917 in Dayton, Ohio. The company produced a single model known as the Darling Six, which was a conventional automobile designed as a five-seater tourer. The vehicle was powered by a 4,964 cc Continental 7N six-cylinder engine.

The Darling Six featured modern design elements, including a dual-cowl body and wire wheels. Despite its contemporary styling, the car did not achieve commercial success, leading to the discontinuation of production within the same year it was introduced. The manufacturing took place in a facility that had previously been used by the Wright-Martin aircraft company.
