Darling was an early automobile brand that operated briefly from 1901 to 1902. It was established by Beardsley & Hubbs Manufacturing Company, located in Mansfield and later Shelby, Ohio. The company was founded by Volney Beardsley and Charles Hubbs, who produced vehicles designed by Rollo R. Darling.

The automobiles produced under the Darling name featured rear-mounted 2-cylinder engines with a power output of 10 to 12 horsepower. The brand offered a range of seven body styles, catering to different consumer preferences. Prices for these vehicles varied, with a 2-seater stanhope model priced at $850 and a combination brake model at $1,200.

In 1902, the company relocated its operations to Shelby, Ohio. However, Rollo R. Darling departed from the company in pursuit of his own automotive venture in Cleveland, which ultimately did not succeed. During its brief production run, the company managed to manufacture six vehicles per week. Following this period, Beardsley & Hubbs reorganized as the Shelby Motor Company to introduce the Shelby car. Volney Beardsley later ventured into electric vehicle production under his own name in Los Angeles.
