Dalton

Dalton was an American car manufacturer based in Flint, Michigan, active in the early 20th century.

The company was founded by Hubert K. Dalton, who had previously served as manager of the Whiting Motorcar Company before deciding to produce a car under his own name. The Dalton automobile was closely related in design to the Whiting, featuring a 20 horsepower four-cylinder engine. It was offered exclusively as a two-seater runabout priced at 900 dollars.

Production of the Dalton automobile was extremely limited, with only three cars completed before Hubert Dalton relocated to New York. There, he established the Dalton Manufacturing Company, which shifted its focus away from automobiles and found success producing marine equipment during World War I.
