Crescent Motor Car Company was established in the early 20th century, specifically between 1907 and 1908, in Detroit, Michigan. The company was formed with the intention of taking over the production of the Reliance touring car and the Marvel roadster, both of which were previously manufactured by other Detroit firms that had ceased car production.
Shortly after its formation, Crescent Motor Car Company was acquired by the Constantine Motor Car Company. This new ownership aimed to develop a new design of automobile; however, this initiative did not come to fruition. In November 1908, it was reported that the company had relocated to a former soap factory in Goshen, Indiana, in search of a more suitable production facility.
By the beginning of 1909, there was little information available regarding the status of Crescent Motor Car Company. Although it was possible that a few prototypes were constructed at one of the three locations, the company ultimately did not achieve significant production or market presence before fading from public attention.
