Comuta-Car was a small commuter car brand that emerged around 1983, based in Sebring, Florida. The company, Aerospace Engineering & Manufacturing, focused on producing compact vehicles designed for urban commuting.
The Comuta-Car was available in two body styles: a sport coupe and a sport van. It offered buyers a choice of propulsion systems, including petrol, diesel, or hybrid electric options. The vehicle featured an aluminum frame and a roll cage, providing structural integrity, while its body was constructed from Cycolac plastic, contributing to its lightweight design.
With an ultra-short wheelbase and 10-inch wheels, the Comuta-Car exhibited a distinctly utilitarian angular styling. The cars were marketed in both kit form, allowing for assembly by the buyer, and as fully assembled vehicles, catering to a range of consumer preferences.
