Brand Data

Country: United States

Colonial Motors Company was an American automobile manufacturer based in Boston, Massachusetts, which operated briefly from 1921 to 1922. The company aimed to produce a sporting-type car known as the Colonial, which featured distinctive disc wheels and a high, rounded radiator design.

The Colonial was intended to be a mass-produced vehicle, with the company projecting an output of over 100 units in its first year. However, production figures fell significantly short of expectations, with estimates suggesting that fewer than ten units were actually completed and made available for use on the roads.

The vehicle was powered by a 6-cylinder Beaver engine, boasting a bore and stroke of 88 x 133 mm, which equated to a displacement of 4,850 cc. Colonial Motors planned to offer three open models along with a coupe variant, but it appears that only the open models were ever manufactured before the company ceased operations.
