Cloughley was an American automobile manufacturer active from 1901 to 1903, founded by Robert H. Cloughley. The company initially operated as the Cloughley Automobile Manufacturing Company in Cherryvale, Kansas, where it focused on producing steam-powered vehicles. Cloughley had previously built his first steam car in 1896, which he attempted to use for a taxi service, but he struggled to find customers.

In 1901, Cloughley established his manufacturing company and produced a second steam car. However, the venture was not commercially successful, resulting in only one sale. In early 1903, Cloughley relocated to Parsons, Kansas, where he founded the Cloughley Motor Vehicle Company. This new enterprise aimed to diversify its offerings by manufacturing both steam and petrol-powered cars, which shared a common design featuring a high four-seater surrey without a top or weather protection.

The vehicles produced included an 8-horsepower, two-cylinder steam car priced at $1,200, as well as petrol models with 9 and 12 horsepower, priced at $1,500. Unfortunately, the company did not survive beyond 1903, leading Cloughley to pursue a different career as a painter.
