Cartermobile was an American automobile manufacturer that operated briefly from 1921 to 1922. The company was based in Washington, D.C., with its manufacturing facility located in Hyattsville, Maryland.
The Cartermobile aimed to penetrate the low-priced automobile market but struggled to achieve commercial success. The company produced only a limited number of prototypes, which included both open models and possibly two closed variants. The vehicles were equipped with a Herschcll-Spillman 7000 four-cylinder L-head engine and featured a wheelbase of 112 inches (2843 mm). The touring car was priced at $895.
Despite its efforts, Cartermobile failed to move beyond the prototype stage, and the brand ultimately ceased operations shortly after its inception.
