Carlson Motor Vehicle Company was an American automobile manufacturer based in Brooklyn, New York. The company was founded by Charles A. Carbon, who previously served as the manager of the New York repair department for the Winton Carriage Company.
Carlson initially focused on producing a range of vehicles, including cars, commercial vehicles, and engines. The company developed only one model of passenger car, which was a 20-horsepower runabout. This model utilized the same 90-inch (2284 mm) chassis as the firm's light truck.
After its brief foray into passenger vehicles, Carlson shifted its focus exclusively to commercial vehicles, continuing this production until 1910. The company's operations reflected the early 20th-century automotive landscape, where many manufacturers specialized in specific vehicle types to meet market demands.
