Byers Manufacturing was an American company based in El Segundo, California, that operated from 1955 to 1960. Founded by Jim Byers, the company specialized in producing body shells for kit cars. Byers initially collaborated with Dick Jones on the METEOR kit car from 1953 to 1955. Following Jones's relocation to Colorado, Byers took the initiative to restyle the design and introduced the SR-100, which was designed to fit a 100-inch (2,538 mm) wheelbase chassis. The SR-100 received positive reviews and gained popularity among street car enthusiasts.

In addition to the SR-100, Byers developed the CR-90, which was intended for competition use and designed for a 90-inch (2,284 mm) wheelbase. The CR-90 featured a distinctive Italian design and offered an optional headrest. By 1960, Byers sold the molds for both models to Victress Manufacturing, which continued to produce them until 1961. The kit car line was subsequently sold to La Dawri, which later transferred the molds to Kellison. While Kellison discontinued the CR-90, it continued to manufacture the SR-100 until the late 1960s.
