Buffalo Automobile & Auto-Bi Co. was an American automobile manufacturer based in Buffalo, New York, active from 1900 to 1902. The company was established by Erwin Ross Thomas, who had previously built bicycles before transitioning to motorized vehicles. The firm produced two models of automobiles, known as the Buffalo Junior and the Buffalo Senior, which were equipped with single-cylinder engines producing 3.5 horsepower and 6 horsepower, respectively.
In 1903, the E.R. Thomas Motor Co., which specialized in engine manufacturing, acquired the Thomas Auto-Bi Co. Following this acquisition, the vehicles were rebranded as Thomas automobiles. Among the notable models produced under this new branding was the Thomas Flyer, which gained fame for winning the 1908 New York-Paris Race.
