Brennan Motor Manufacturing Company was established in Syracuse, New York, and operated from 1902 to 1908. Initially, the company focused on manufacturing engines, supplying power units to various automobile manufacturers, including SF.IDEN.

In 1902, Brennan produced its first complete automobiles, marking its entry into the car manufacturing sector. However, the company primarily remained an engine builder throughout its existence. In 1907, facing an overstock of engines, Brennan manufactured a limited number of four-cylinder cars. Following this brief foray into complete vehicle production, the company returned to its core business of engine manufacturing.

In 1913, Brennan briefly ventured back into vehicle production by offering a range of trucks, including 2-ton, 3-ton, and 5-ton models, but this was only for a single season. After this period, the company continued its focus on engine production until it ceased operations.
