The B.O.S.S. Company was established in 1911 in Detroit, Michigan, by four partners: Frank A. Bowen, John A. Olson, Frank A. Smith, and Franklin Stratton. The name of the company was derived from the initials of its founders.
The B.O.S.S. Company produced a limited number of vehicles, with its cars featuring a 35-horsepower four-cylinder engine. Notably, the design of the vehicle was the work of Franklin Stratton, who also contributed to the versatility of the car's body, which could be converted from a passenger vehicle to a delivery vehicle. However, due to the limited production, the B.O.S.S. Company did not achieve widespread recognition in the automotive industry.
