Bolte was an American automobile brand founded in 1901 by Thomas H. Bolte in Kearney, Nebraska. Initially a bicycle dealer, Bolte ventured into the automotive industry by designing a small runabout. This vehicle was powered by an 8-horsepower single-cylinder engine and featured a belt drive to the countershaft, with final drive accomplished through a single chain. The design included full-elliptic springs for suspension, which was a notable feature for vehicles of that era.

Despite Bolte's plans to establish a company and a quoted production price of $600 for the runabout, the venture did not progress to the point of actual production. As a result, Bolte remains a footnote in the early history of American automotive manufacturing, with no vehicles ever being produced.
