Bennett Motorcars, Inc. was established around 1983 in Lakeland, Florida. The company specialized in the production of kit cars, with its most notable model being the Alden kit car. This vehicle drew inspiration from the Witton Tiger, featuring a body design that closely resembled the Tiger, albeit with distinctive stainless-steel exhaust pipes that emerged from the bonnet, reminiscent of the Excalibur.

The Alden kit car was built on a steel tube chassis and utilized running gear from the Ford Pinto or Mustang II. It offered a range of engine options, accommodating 4-, 6-, or 8-cylinder Ford engines, which provided versatility for enthusiasts looking to customize their vehicles.
