Banker Juvenile Electric was an American automobile brand established by the Banker Brothers Company in 1905, based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Banker brothers, who were successful car dealers, began their foray into automobile manufacturing in 1895, primarily to create vehicles for personal use.
The only model produced by Banker Juvenile Electric was a lightweight two-seater electric runabout designed specifically for children. This vehicle was powered by a 1.5 horsepower Westinghouse motor and could reach a top speed of approximately 11 miles per hour (19 km/h). Notably, the speed could be adjusted to a lower limit if parents deemed it necessary for safety. The runabout was priced at $600, reflecting its niche market appeal.
Despite its limited production, Banker Juvenile Electric contributed to the early development of electric vehicles, particularly in the context of children's transportation.
