Atlas Fiber-Glass was an American automotive company established around 1952 in Los Angeles, California. The company was co-founded by Roy Kinch and his assistant Mickey Thompson, who later gained recognition for their contributions to speed record vehicles.
The company specialized in manufacturing fiberglass bodies, initially creating molds from a Pininfarina-bodied Cisitalia 202 Gran Sport. These molds were adapted to fit the chassis of the MG-TC and TD models. Atlas Fiber-Glass produced both coupe and convertible styles, which became popular among enthusiasts who built V8-powered specials for racing at the Bonneville Salt Flats.
Shortly after its inception, Atlas Fiber-Glass changed its name to the Allied Fiber-Glass Company. It is important to note that this name change did not indicate any affiliation with another company named Allied Fiberglass located in Sacramento, California.
