Allen was an American automobile manufacturer active from approximately 1895 to 1900, founded by G. Edgar Allen in New York City. Initially a carriage builder, Allen transitioned into automobile production, operating from workshops located on West 53rd Street.
The company is known for producing a limited number of vehicles, with the most notable surviving model being a light runabout manufactured in 1900. This vehicle was powered by a 7.5 horsepower Aster single-cylinder engine and featured tiller steering along with chain drive. Despite its brief existence, Allen contributed to the early automotive landscape in the United States.
