The Albany Automobile Company was an American automobile manufacturer based in Albany, Indiana, active during the early 20th century, specifically from 1907 to 1908. The company produced vehicles that were characteristic of the high-wheeler design popular at the time. Initially, Albany automobiles were equipped with a single-cylinder engine that produced between 6 to 7 horsepower, featuring tiller steering and steel-shod wheels.

As production progressed, Albany made several enhancements to their vehicles. Notable improvements included the introduction of wheel steering and solid rubber tires, which contributed to a more refined driving experience. Additionally, the design evolved to include a dummy bonnet, although the engine remained located under the seat in the earlier models. By 1908, Albany had upgraded their engine to a two-cylinder configuration, increasing the output to 18 to 20 horsepower and relocating the engine under the bonnet.

Throughout its brief operational period, the Albany Automobile Company produced approximately 850 vehicles, marking a modest contribution to the automotive landscape of the era.
