Genie Kit Cars was a British manufacturer based in Ancrum, Roxburghshire, that operated from 1989 to 1996. The company specialized in producing kit cars, with its most notable model being the Genie Wasp. This vehicle represented a blend of traditional and fun car characteristics, appealing to enthusiasts looking for a unique driving experience.

The Genie Wasp was available in two distinct fibreglass body styles. The first, known as the Mk I, featured a rounded tail, while the Mk II boasted a longer and sharply pointed rear end. Both models were built on a steel tube ladder chassis, which was designed to accommodate components from the Ford Cortina. Additionally, there was an option for a Fiat twin cam engine, providing buyers with some flexibility in terms of performance.

Despite the innovative design and engineering of the Genie Wasp, the manufacturer faced challenges due to its remote location and limited marketing efforts.
