General Motor Car Company Ltd was a British automobile manufacturer that operated from 1902 to 1905. The company was initially established in Norbury, London, before relocating to Mitcham, Surrey, in 1903. During its brief existence, General Motor Car Company focused on producing a range of vehicles, including racing cars and light commercial vehicles.

In 1902, the company announced plans to build a 24-horsepower racing car for the Bexhill Speed Trials; however, this vehicle did not materialize. Instead, they developed a racing car powered by a 40-horsepower four-cylinder Buchet engine, which featured a distinctive pointed nose designed for improved aerodynamics. This car was commissioned by W.G. Crombie for entry into the Nice Speed Trials and was noted for its unconventional design, which was described as potentially hazardous to pedestrians.

In addition to racing cars, General Motor Car Company produced a light tradesman's delivery van known as the G.M.C., which was equipped with a 4.5-horsepower single-cylinder engine. Following their move to Mitcham, the company expanded its offerings to include light cars powered by either 6.5-horsepower Aster engines or 12-horsepower Buchet engines. Notably, some of these vehicles were among the first motor vehicles supplied to the British Post Office. By 1904, the company introduced a light car featuring a spiral radiator and shaft drive, and in 1905, they manufactured larger models with 30-horsepower Simms and 40-horsepower Buchet engines. Despite its innovative designs, the company ceased operations in 1905.
