Forrest was an automobile brand established by J.A. Wade & Co. Ltd in Liverpool, England, operating from 1907 to 1916. The company initially focused on producing light cars, which were powered by an 8-horsepower V-twin engine. These vehicles featured a friction transmission and shaft drive, showcasing the engineering capabilities of the time.
As production progressed, Forrest introduced models equipped with a small four-cylinder engine, reflecting advancements in automotive technology. In addition to passenger cars, the brand also developed a light van starting in 1908, which became a significant focus of their production efforts, overshadowing their passenger car offerings.
Forrest also ventured into the taxi market, producing a taxicab that featured a front-opening hansom-cab body style. This model was marketed in London under the name Realm-Forrest, indicating the brand's attempt to establish a presence in the urban transportation sector. Despite its innovations, the brand ceased operations in 1916.
