Country: United Kingdom

Fairley was a British automotive manufacturer founded in 1950 by Jas. Fairley & Sons Ltd, based in Sheffield, Yorkshire. The company emerged from the efforts of amateur car constructor R. Phillips, who initially created a special vehicle based on the Austin Seven. This vehicle featured Ballamy suspension and was later modified for trials use by incorporating a Jowett Javelin engine.

Inspired by his earlier work, Phillips planned to produce a series of tubular-framed sports cars that would utilize components from the Jowett Javelin. These designs included both a five-seater convertible and a two-seater competition model. However, despite the initial enthusiasm and plans for production, series manufacturing did not commence. Instead, a limited number of one-off vehicles were constructed, marking the brand's brief presence in the automotive landscape.
