Brand Data

Ewens Sports Cars was a British kit car manufacturer based at Fengate, Peterborough, Cambridgeshire. The company offered the Ewens Roadster, which used a square-tube or round-tube chassis and relied on the Mazda MX-5 as a donor car for engines and running gear. Bodywork consisted of aluminum panels combined with GRP wings and nose. Customers could choose between 1.6- or 1.8-litre Mazda engines, with a demonstrator equipped with a supercharger producing more than 200 horsepower. The Roadster was offered either as a home-build kit, or as a turnkey vehicle. Ewens Sports Cars emphasized flexibility, offering both kits for self-builders and completed cars for those wanting immediate use. Despite these offerings, the company remained a small-scale operation and its activities eventually ceased.
