Empress Motor Co. Ltd was a British automobile manufacturer based in Manchester, active from 1907 to 1910. The company was established with the intention of producing a diverse range of automobiles, which included both four-cylinder and six-cylinder models.

In its inaugural year, Empress introduced an ambitious lineup featuring two four-cylinder models, the 16/20 hp and the 20/24 hp, alongside two six-cylinder models, the 24/30 hp and the 30/36 hp. Notably, all vehicles produced by Empress were equipped with pressure lubrication systems and detachable cylinder heads, and they utilized shaft drive technology.

By 1910, the company had streamlined its offerings, listing only the four-cylinder models. That same year, Frank Smith, the designer behind the Empress vehicles, shifted his focus from automotive design to aviation. Following this transition, there is no further record of the Empress Motor Co., marking the end of its operations.
