Brand Data

D.G. Motor Services was a British vehicle manufacturer based in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, that specialized in chopper-style trikes for the domestic market.

The company followed the American practice of mounting a Volkswagen Beetle engine within a basic box-section chassis, combined with extended motorcycle front forks and a simple two-seater fibreglass body. This resulted in a trike known as the Phoenix, which could be driven on a motorcycle licence. By 1998, more than 400 examples of the Phoenix had been produced.

In addition to the Phoenix, D.G. Motor Services also produced a US-style off-road vehicle known as a sand rail.
