Dawson Car Co. Ltd. was a British automobile manufacturer based in Coventry, active from 1919 to 1921. The company was founded by A. Dawson, a former manager at Hillman Works, who had previously designed the Hillman Nine in 1913. After leaving Hillman in June 1918, Dawson established his own business, aiming to produce high-quality vehicles.

The flagship model of the Dawson Car Co. was the Dawson 11/22, which featured a 1795cc single overhead cam four-cylinder engine designed and manufactured by the company itself. Unlike many other post-war manufacturers, Dawson did not assemble its cars from existing parts but instead focused on creating a unique product. The vehicle included a three-speed gearbox and spiral-bevel drive, along with several innovative features such as an inspection lamp under the bonnet for nighttime repairs and adjustable steering rake and pedals.

Dawson Car Co. did not produce its own bodies; instead, they were primarily supplied by Charlesworth, with at least one coupe body provided by Crow & Ellis. The pricing of Dawson cars was relatively high, with 1919 prices ranging from £600 for a two-seater to £995 for a saloon. This high cost likely contributed to the company's struggles in the market, as they sold only 65 vehicles before the company was compulsorily wound up in February 1921. Later that year, the factory was acquired by Triumph, marking the end of Dawson's brief existence in the automotive industry.
