Cooper Car Company, established in the United Kingdom, operated from 1919 to 1923. The company was initially founded as CooperCarCo. in Bedford, before relocating to Coventry in 1922 and becoming Cooper Car Co. Ltd.

The first vehicle produced by the company was an experimental model featuring a 3-cylinder air-cooled overhead valve engine with a displacement of 1493cc, which was reportedly of American origin. However, only one unit of this prototype was manufactured. In 1922, with financial support from S.H. Newsome, a theatre and garage owner, Cooper aimed to produce a more conventional light car. This new model was powered by a 1368cc Coventry-Climax 4-cylinder side-valve engine, paired with a Moss gearbox and a Wrigley rear axle.

Cooper offered several body styles for their light car, ranging from a 2-seater priced at £235 to a coupe at £300. Despite these offerings, the production of completed vehicles was limited. Notably, Newsome drove a variant of the Cooper, equipped with a Janvier engine and named the Warwick, at Brooklands, and he was later seen participating in rallies driving Jaguars.
