Climax Motor Company was a British automobile manufacturer based in Coventry, active from 1905 to 1909. The company specialized in assembling cars that utilized engines sourced from Aster and White & Poppe, along with 3-speed gearboxes and shaft drive systems.
In its inaugural year, Climax offered models equipped with a 10/12 horsepower Aster 2-cylinder engine, as well as 15 horsepower and 16 to 20 horsepower options featuring 3-cylinder and 4-cylinder engines, respectively. By 1906, the company streamlined its offerings to focus solely on 4-cylinder engines, providing a 14 horsepower model from White & Poppe and 16 or 22 horsepower options from Aster.
In 1907, Climax introduced a notable 20 horsepower model powered by a 6-cylinder engine from White & Poppe. The early Climax vehicles were characterized by their Rolls-Royce-style radiators, although subsequent models transitioned to a flatter radiator design. The company ceased operations in 1909, marking the end of its brief but varied production run.
