Clark was a British automobile manufacturer founded in 1901 by Charles Clark & Sons, based in Retford, Nottinghamshire. The company aimed to produce light four-wheeled vehicles powered by a 2.75 horsepower De Dion-Bouton engine, which was adapted from a De Dion tricycle design.
Despite the initial plans and development efforts, production of Clark vehicles never commenced. The company remains a historical footnote in the early automotive industry, illustrating the challenges faced by many early manufacturers in transitioning from concept to production.
