Caledonian Motor Car & Cycle Company was established in Aberdeen, Scotland, in 1899. The company operated until 1906 and specialized in assembling a limited number of automobiles to special order. These vehicles were powered by engines sourced from established manufacturers, specifically De Dion-Bouton and Daimler.

In 1908, Caledonian transitioned to become agents for Peugeot and Standard, indicating a shift in their business focus away from car production. Notably, a different entity also named Caledonian produced a small number of taxicabs in Granton between 1912 and 1914, but this was unrelated to the original Caledonian Motor Car & Cycle Company. The legacy of the company remains primarily tied to its brief period of automobile assembly in the early 20th century.
