A.V. Motors Ltd was a British automobile manufacturer that operated from 1919 to 1924, primarily in Teddington, Middlesex. The company was initially established as Ward & Avey Ltd by Messrs. Ward and Avey, who acquired the rights to the prewar Carden Monocar. They began production in the former Carden factory, focusing on small, lightweight vehicles.

The company primarily utilized rear-mounted JAP engines, available in 5 and 8 horsepower variants, although some vehicles were equipped with Blackburne or MAG power units. The bodies of the cars were constructed from materials such as plywood, mahogany, or compressed paper, with components supplied by the Thames Valley Pattern Works. A.V. Motors produced several hundred units of the Monocar and approximately 50 units of the Bi-car, which initially featured tandem seating for two. In 1921, the Bi-car was redesigned to include side-by-side seating and was subsequently renamed the Runabout.

By 1922, the Monocar was discontinued, and the Runabout became the sole model offered by A.V. Motors until 1924. After this period, the company transitioned to producing cars only on special order. It is believed that no A.V. vehicles were manufactured after 1924, although the company continued to operate for many years, initially serving as agents for Jowett and later selling products from the Rootes Group.
