The Alexis was a British automobile brand active around 1905 to 1906, based in Alexandria, Dumbartonshire. The company, T. & R. Taig, produced a unique vehicle known as the wheel-steered tricar, which was available in two engine configurations: a 3.5 horsepower single-cylinder model and a 6 horsepower two-cylinder variant, referred to as the Motor Carette.

The Alexis Tricar featured a 2-speed gearbox, while the Motor Carette was equipped with a 3-speed gearbox, both utilizing chain final drive to the rear wheel. The vehicles were constructed with a combination of tubular and angle steel frames and were designed to accommodate two passengers, although the Motor Carette could be modified to seat three for an additional cost.
