The Albert was a British automobile brand that operated from 1920 to 1924. It was established by Adam, Grimaldi & Co. Ltd. in Vauxhall, London, and later production was taken over by Gwynne’s Engineering Co. Ltd. in Chiswick, London. The brand was known for producing high-quality light cars, specifically designed to be all-weather four-seater tourers.

The Albert was powered by a 1495cc four-cylinder overhead valve engine and featured a four-speed gearbox, with its design credited to A.O. Lord, who later contributed to the LOYD-LORD car. The vehicles were notable for their extensive use of aluminum in the body construction, which contributed to their lightweight and performance.

Initially, Adam, Grimaldi & Co. ordered 3,000 engines from Gwynne, but by March 1920, only 250 cars had been produced. Following the acquisition of Adam, Grimaldi by Gwynne, production was moved to Chiswick, where approximately 1,450 Alberts were manufactured until 1923. However, Gwynne's focus shifted towards their smaller model, the Gwynne Eight, which saw greater production numbers.

In 1923, the Albert was succeeded by an enlarged version known as the Gwynne-Albert, which featured a 1944cc engine and front-wheel brakes starting in 1925. Production of the Gwynne-Albert continued sporadically until 1929, with around 200 units produced.
