Adams & Co. was a British automobile manufacturer based in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, operational from 1903 to 1906. Founded by H. Adams, the company initially focused on converting horse-drawn vehicles into motorized ones. This was achieved through the development of an avant-train conversion set, which featured a petrol engine mounted on a swiveling forecarriage, allowing for steering via a wheel and vertical column.
In 1905, Adams & Co. showcased a 9-horsepower two-seater light car at the Agricultural Hall Show, marketed under the name "One of the Best." This event highlighted the company's innovative approach to automotive design and engineering. Alongside their automotive endeavors, Adams & Co. also presented the Adams Patent QuickLift Motor Jack, further demonstrating their commitment to advancing automotive technology during the early 20th century.
