Aberdonia

Aberdonia Cars Ltd was a British automobile manufacturer active from 1911 to 1915, based in Shepherd’s Bush, London, with additional operations in Park Royal, London. The company specialized in producing vehicles that featured bodies crafted by the coachbuilders Brown, Hughes and Strachan, with the chassis being constructed at their Shepherd’s Bush facility.

The Aberdonia model was equipped with a single engine option, a 3160cc 16/20hp four-cylinder engine that utilized side-valve technology and monobloc casting. The range included various body styles, notably tourers and landaulets. A distinctive feature of Aberdonia's offerings was showcased at the 1911 Olympia Motor Show, where Brown, Hughes & Strachan presented a unique 'Park Royal town landau.' This particular vehicle was notable for its unconventional design, placing the driver ahead of the engine, which was concealed between the driver and the passenger compartment, arranged in a barouche layout with passengers facing each other. This model was likely a one-off creation.
