F.IA.M. was an Italian automotive manufacturer based in Coriano di Rimini, active from 1978 until approximately 1982. The company specialized in the production of microcars, a segment that gained popularity during the late 20th century due to its compact size and efficiency.
One of the notable models produced by F.IA.M. was the Johnny Panther, a two-seater microcar that featured a 124cc air-cooled Morini engine, delivering 10 horsepower. The vehicle was designed with all-independent suspension and rear-wheel drive, which contributed to its handling characteristics. Buyers had the option to choose between an automatic transmission or a five-speed manual transmission, enhancing the car's versatility. Additionally, the Johnny Panther could be configured with either three or four wheels, catering to different preferences and regulatory requirements.
F.IA.M.'s production period was relatively short, and the company eventually ceased operations in the early 1980s, marking the end of its contributions to the microcar market.
