Bel-Motors was a French automotive manufacturer that operated from 1974 to 1980, based in Les Sables d’Olonne, Vendée. The company was founded by M.J. Bellier, who aimed to produce compact vehicles suitable for urban environments.
The first model introduced by Bel-Motors was the Veloto C-10, a three-wheeled microcar powered by a 49cc Motobecane engine. This vehicle featured an automatic transmission and drove the rear wheels. Its design included spindly wheels suspended by rubber, and the body was constructed from fiberglass, reflecting the lightweight and economical approach of the manufacturer.
In 1979, Bel-Motors expanded its lineup with the C-10S, a fully enclosed microcar that boasted all-independent suspension. The final model produced by the company was the CI2, also known as the Minoto, which was released in 1980. After the cessation of Bel-Motors, M.J. Bellier established a new company named Bellier, continuing his work in the microcar segment.
