Clark was an early New Zealand vehicle-building venture associated with H.S. Clark, based in Hawke's Bay on the North Island.
In 1903, Clark imported two engines from the United States, one a single-cylinder unit and the other a flat-twin. He used these engines to build his own vehicles, personally designing and constructing the chassis, mechanical components, and bodywork.
Both vehicles were completed by 1906. The car fitted with the single-cylinder engine was subsequently sold, while Clark kept the flat-twin-powered vehicle for his own personal use.
