Baldi was an Italian microcar manufacturer active from approximately 1973 to 1976, based in San Remo. The company produced vehicles characterized by their unconventional designs and compact dimensions. One of its notable models was the Baldi Frog, which featured a tall estate-type plastic body that was often described as aesthetically unpleasing. The Frog utilized mechanical components from the Fiat 500, but it also offered alternative engine options, including 125cc and 302cc units, in addition to the standard Fiat 2-cylinder rear-mounted engine.
Another model produced by Baldi was the Sahara 4, which was based on the Renault 4. This vehicle was designed as a leisure vehicle and was constructed with a plastic body, closely resembling the Renault Rodeo. Baldi's offerings reflected the era's interest in small, economical vehicles, although the brand's production was relatively short-lived.
