MVM

M.V.M. was a small car manufacturer based at Manor View Motors in Câtel, Guernsey, in the Channel Islands. It held the distinction of being the only car built for sale in the Channel Islands, although the Islands had previously produced a motorcycle, the Pacer, built in Guernsey in 1914.

The M.V.M. was a light two-seater sports car featuring a ladder-type tubular frame, independent suspension on all four wheels, and a fibreglass body. Only three examples were ever built. Two of these were powered by 325cc two-cylinder two-stroke Anzani engines, while the third used a 1100cc four-cylinder Coventry-Climax engine, which gave the car a top speed of 100 mph (161 km/h).

Production ceased when a credit squeeze imposed by the bank prevented builder Leslie Le Tissier from constructing further examples.
