Taunus Automobilfabrik GmbH was a German manufacturer based in Frankfurt am Main. The company was primarily engaged in the production of commercial vehicles, though it also offered a single passenger car model, powered by a proprietary 6/12PS engine. The Taunus name later became more widely recognized through its use on German Ford cars, appearing on models produced from 1939 to 1967 and again during the 1980s.
