Saier

In 1984, the company Automobilbau Alexander Saier in Hohenstein-Meidelstetten presented a replica of the MG TD with a plastic body, followed by other replicas (Bugatti T35B, Mercedes-Benz 380, AC Cobra). They were based on VW Beetle platforms or a box frame designed by Saier himself. The cars were powered by Opel 2.0-liter engines. Copies of the Austin-Healey 3000 and the Porsche 356 coupe and speedster were added in 1993. The buggies Saier A1 with 75 hp VW engine (Golf) and A2 with 44hp (VW Beetle) presented in June 1987 were self-creations.
