Feldmann was an automobile manufacturer based in Soest, Germany, that operated from 1905 to 1912. The company, officially known as Westfälische Automobilgesellschaft B. Feldmann & Co., emerged during a period when several firms began to enter the automotive industry, often utilizing existing components to facilitate production.
The company's initial offering was a two-seater vehicle equipped with a 6 PS (approximately 4.4 kW) two-cylinder engine. This model laid the groundwork for subsequent developments, which included more advanced designs such as a 10/25 PS four-cylinder tourer. Notably, Feldmann also produced a sports model featuring an overhead valve engine that delivered 40 bhp, showcasing the company's ambition to compete in the growing automotive market.
Despite these efforts, Feldmann's production remained on a small scale, and its sales were primarily concentrated in the province of Westphalia. The limited distribution and production capacity ultimately constrained the brand's impact in the broader automotive landscape.
